Our Story

Nicola Iatomasi, owner and Executive Chef, orchestrates the magic that happens in the Mondello kitchen. Born in Naples, Italy, Nicola was inspired by his mother and her authentic home cooking.

 

He studied the culinary arts at Liason College under Master Chef Robert Orsi, and fined-tuned his natural talents through various experiences in restaurants and hotels.

Chef Nico and his creative team bring their passion, love of food and respect for the culinary world to Mondello.

Sous Chef Brian Williamson has been with Mondello since 2012. His passion for the culinary arts is evident in every single dish he cooks and helps create. Whether it is leading his team to a successful service every evening or making the best mushroom risotto you have ever tasted, he always has his heart in it. 

General Manager Bence Csuka has been with Mondello since 2013. He had his early beginnings in the kitchen working alongside Chef Nico. He now conveys his passion for cocktails and the service industry through leading the Mondello front of house team.

SERVER

The Requirements:

  • Punctuality

  • Reliable method of transportation

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to move in a fast paced environment

  • Prior experience is a must and experience in Italian cuisine would be an asset

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work well with others and on their own because we are a TEAM!

  • Must work effectively while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment for all

DISHWASHER

The Requirements:

  • Punctuality and a reliable method of transportation

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to move in a fast paced environment

  • Prior experience is a must and experience in Italian cuisine would be an asset

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to multitask and to assess level of priority on a continuous basis

  • Ability to work well with others and on their own because we are a TEAM!

  • Ability to properly read and adhere to safe handling instructions of dishwashing cleaners 

  • Must work effectively while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment for all

PREP COOK

The Requirements:

  • Punctuality and a reliable method of transportation

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to move in a fast paced environment

  • Prior experience is a must and experience in Italian cuisine would be an asset

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work well with others and on their own because we are a TEAM!

  • Must work effectively while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment for all

LINE COOK

The Requirements:

  • Punctuality and a reliable method of transportation

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to move in a fast paced environment

  • 3 years prior experience in Italian cuisine preferred

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to work well with others and on their own because we are a TEAM!

  • Must work effectively while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment for all
